VIOLET EVELYN (HUGHES) LAKE
Violet Evelyn (Hughes) Lake, 90, KansasCity, MO, died Monday,
February 1, 1999, at New Mark Care Center. Funeral services will be
11 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, at Heritage Funeral Home, Parkville,
MO; burial in Barry Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at
the funeral home.Mrs. Lake was born December 1, 1908, in Clay County,
MO and lived all of her life in both Clay and Platte counties. She
was a member of the Barry Christian Church since August 17, 1926. She
married Joseph J. Lake on October 26, 1927. She is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, James and Ida Lake, Dearborn, MO; granddaughters
and grandsons-in-law, Carla and Bill Shanks, Peggy and Mike Fryer and
Linda Peterson; and five great-grandchildren; also a sister, Ruby Martin,
Kansas City, MO; and nieces and nephews.
