               Virginia M. Thomas

               Virginia Mae (Lake) Thomas, 83, of Uniontown, Pa., passed
               away Monday evening, Dec. 4, 2000, in Uniontown Hospital.

               She was born March 31, 1917, in Elliottsville, Pa.,
               daughter of the late Milton Lake and Lauretta Dice Lake.

               In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
               her husband, Charles C. Thomas; and brothers, John Lake
               and James Lake,

               Virginia was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman
               Catholic Church.

               Surviving are her niece, Edith Owens of Washington, D.C.;
               and many friends and neighbors.

               Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III
               FUNERAL HOME, at 71 Pennsylvania Ave., Uniontown, on
               Friday, Dec. 7, 2000 from noon to 4 p.m., and on
               Saturday, Dec. 8, 2000, until 9 a.m., when a prayer
               service will be held, followed by a 9:30 a.m., Mass of
               Christian burial, in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church,
               with the Rev. Fr. William Kiel as celebrant. Interment
               will follow in Visitation Cemetery, Elliottsville, Pa. A
               Parish Wake Service will be held on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
