SMITH, VIRGINIA (Age 86)

Of Scotland, MD, at her residence on January 31, 2002.  She is predeceased
by her parents David and Fanny Lake, husband Maurice Smith.  Survived by
her children Maurice and George Smith, Shirley Teliha, Sandra Hurst,
Sheila Jewell, Linda Hoshaw, three brothers and two sisters, 14
grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Family will receive friends
at the AREHART-ECHOLS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata,
MD  20646, on Tuesday February 5, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
