The Wake Weekly, Wake Forest NC, Thursday, November 15 2007, page 6C Virginia Lake Walker, 73, of Wake Forest, died Saturday, Nov 10 2007, at Sunnybrook Alzheimer's and Healthcare. Mrs Walker was born in Hong Kong, the daughter of the late Virginia Austin Lake and the late Dr John Lake. Mrs Walker lived in Kansas City through her early teen years. After the passing of her father, Mrs Walker's mother moved back to Wake Forest with her and her sister. She later moved to Hillsborough, where she lived and raised her family for more than 20 years. In Mrs Walker's later years she moved back to Wake Forest, where she lived until her health started to decline. Mrs Walker is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Walker Davis of Mebane; a son, Allen Walker III of Pittsboro; a sister, Rosa Lake Havens of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Christopher Allen Walker and his wife Jessica Knight Walker, and Joseph Daniel Davis of Hargrave Military Academy, Virginia. A graveside service was held Nov 13 at the Hillsborough Town Cemetery, with Hospice Chaplin Suzanne Owens officiating.
