Lake- Viva Ellen, age 75, passed away 5/13/06 at Mercy Hospital, Council
Bluffs IA. Viva was born 3/22/31 in Hazard NE to Lloy and Lillie (Maxson)
Gilliland. Viva enjoyed 4-H sewing, flowers and reading. Viva was a loving
wife, mother, and grandmother.  Viva was preceded in death by her parents;
brother, Ivan. Viva will be sadly missed by her husband of 52 years,
Glenn: children Glenda Dillon and husband Ed, Carolyn Salvo and husband
Mike, Janice Finney and Sharon Salvo and husband Jim.  12 grandchildren,
and 1 great granddaughter.  brothers: Ervin Gilliland and wife Rita, of
Ashland NE, Elvin and Opal Gilliland of Lyons Ne, sister: Velma Ewquivel
and husband Daniel of Lincoln NE. Sister-in-law Joyce Gilliland; a host
of nieces and nephews, friends and family.

Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 pm at Henry-Livingston funeral home.
Celebration of Life will be at 10:30 am Wednesday at the Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Council Bluffs
Ia A luncheon will follow burial at the LDS Church, The Stake Center
(2303 Butler St., Council Bluffs Ia.)  Memorials suggested to the Lewis
Township Fire Department.

Viva Ellen Lake, age 75, passed away May 13, 2006, at Mercy Hospital.

Viva was born March 22, 1931, in Hazard, Neb., to Lloyd and Lillie
(Maxson) Gilliland. Viva enjoyed 4H, sewing, flowers and reading. Viva
was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Viva was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ivan.

Viva will be sadly missed by her husband of 52 years, Glenn; children,
Glenda Dillon and husband Ed, Carolyn Salvo and husband Mike,
Janice Finney (Dan Hackett), and Sharon Salvo and husband Jim; twelve
grandchildren; a great granddaughter; brothers, Ervin Gilliland and wife
Rita of Ashland, Neb., Elvin Gilliland and wife Opal of Lyons, Neb.;
sister Velma Esquivel and husband Daniel of Lincoln, Neb.; sister-in-law,
Joyce Gilliland; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m. at Henry-Livingston Funeral
Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at
Henry-Livingston Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Memorial Park
Cemetery. A luncheon will follow interment at the LDS Church The Stake
Center, (2303 Butler St., Council Bluffs).

Memorials are suggested to the Lewis Township Fire Department.
