Walter C. Lake Jr.
McPHERSON - Walter C. Lake Jr., 82, died May 13, 2009, at Memorial
Hospital, McPherson. He was born Jan. 25, 1927, the son of Walter C.
Sr. and Myrtle Baker Lake. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

On Sept. 7, 1947, he married Lois Winter. She survives. Other survivors
include: daughters, Rita Goben and Julie Lake; brother Max; sister,
Elaine Smith; grandson, Aaron Lake; and two great-grandsons, Austin and
Peyton Lake.

Funeral 10 a.m. Monday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson, with
the Rev.  Thomas Hallstrom presiding. Visitation 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at
the funeral home, with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. Burial will
be in McPherson Cemetery, McPherson. Memorials to the American Legion
Post No. 24 Building Fund or a charity of the donor's choice in care of
the funeral home.
