Daily World; Aberdeen WA; 2002-2-10 Warren William Knapp, a 12 year resident of Ocean Shores, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 73. He was born Oct. 29, 1928, at Stamford, Conn. to Clifford and Alice (Lake) Knapp. He was raised in Danbury, Conn. until he joined the Army in 1950. After he left the Army in 19;52, he moved to Wenatchee and stayed until 1961 when he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in California. In 1990, he moved to Grayland. He married Janet (Advise) Knapp on June 26, 1962, at Seattle. The couple moved to Ocean Shores in 1996. Mr. Knapp had worked as a car sales manager at auto dealerships in California and Washington. He was retired. He was a member of the Lions and Elks lodges in Wenatchee. He was a fan of auto racing, the rodeo and Taholah High School sports. He enjoyed photography. In addition to his wife of Ocean Shores Mr. Knapp is survived by two daughters, Sandra Franal Golding of Centennial, Colo. and Betty Lynn Webster of Wenatchee; a stepson, Robert Brabrook of Grapeview, four step daughters, Susan McDonald, of Panama City Beach, Fla., Mary Long of Chelan, Jane Williams and Jill Jones, both of Wenatchee; a half-brother; Charles of Ridgefield, Conn; two half-sisters, Cindy and Cathy of Port Charlotte, La; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial is scheduled at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, in the Ocean Shores Community Club Library Room. Arrangements are by Fern Hill Funeral Home of Aberdeen.
