Published in the Morning Call on 1/4/2009 Willard B. Willie Beck, 82, of Allentown, PA, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He and his wife, Margaret L. Peggy (Epler), celebrated 57 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Alfred E. and Muriel W. (Kocher) Beck. Employed at Allen Organ, Macungie, Willie was a woodcarver for more than 30 years. He was a member of Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and had earned the rank of seaman 1st class. Survivors: Wife; sons, Willard P. and wife Linda K. of Carleton, Mich., Joseph W. of Allentown; daughters, Marie Miller and husband Douglas of Frederick, Md., Susan Kijak and husband Peter, and Patricia Zandarski and husband Edmund, all of Allentown; brother, Marlin, and sister, Theda L. Bartynski, both of Allentown; six grandchildren, a great-grandson; nephews, nieces. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Stephens Funeral Home Inc., 1335-37 W. Linden St., Allentown.
