A funeral service for William R. Lake, age 81, of Newark, Ohio, will
be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at the Newark Chapel of
Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service with Rev. Leslie Lake
officiating.  Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Lake, died May 12, 2002 at Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by
Hospice of Central Ohio.  He was born July 24, 1920 in Somerville, New
Jersey to the late Edgar and Clara (Roller) Lake.  Surviving are: Sons
and daughters-in-law, Gary and Debbie Lake of Wadsworth, Ohio, Douglas
Lake of Newark, and Bob and Leslie Lake of Orrville.  One daughter, Sandy
Willey of Columbus.  Seven  Grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Sisters, Anna Moore and Virginia Carr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Lake.

Friends may call from 10-11AM on Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at the funeral
home, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark.  Memorial contributions may be made
