Times Herald-Record Middletown, NY 14 Aug 2017 October 19, 1930 - August 10, 2017 Roscoe, NY William “Bunk” Ralph Lake, Sr. of Roscoe, NY, a retired rural mail carrier for the Roscoe Post Office, Roscoe, NY, and a lifelong area resident died Thursday, August 10, 2017 at his home. He was 86. The son of the late Howard P. and Annabelle Finnegan Lake, he was born October 19, 1930 in Cooks Falls, NY. William proudly served Our Country in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict; he had worked or the U.S. Postal Service for 33 years. Survivors include two sons, William “Bill” Lake, Jr. and his wife, Pam of Kissimmee, FL and Mark R. Lake and his wife, Brenda of Roscoe, NY; four grandsons: Matthew and his wife, Kelly, Marc, David, and Paul; one granddaughter, Erin; two great granddaughters, Ivy and Chandler; five sisters: Barbara “Bobbi” Cromie, Ginger Wakeman and her husband, Russell, Alice Meyers, Sharon Keene, and Carol Gerow and her husband, Thomas; one brother, Thomas Lake and his wife, Roxanne; one brother-in-law, Robert “John” Chapman and his companion, Flora. He was predeceased by his wife, JuneAnne Chapman Lake; one son, Kevin John Lake; one brother, Donald Lake; and three sisters: Dorothy Pherrigo, Rosemary Fassberger, and Joyce Bury. Private burial with military honors will be in the Cooks Falls Cemetery, Cooks Falls, NY.
