Willis Wayne Lake, age 77, passed away April 19, 2005, at Garden Terrace
of Overland Park. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on May 2,
at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Avenue,
Leawood. The family suggests memorial contributions to Alzheimer's
Association, 3846 West 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208, or Garden
Terrace, 7541 Switzer Road, Overland Park, KS 66214. Cremation with
inurnment at Church of the Resurrection Memorial Garden. Mr. Lake was
a resident of Birmingham, AL, for 22 years before moving to the Kansas
City area in 1997. Before his retirement, Mr. Lake was an executive with
Vulcan Materials Company, Birmingham, AL. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of
WWII. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Garden Terrace for

LAKE, WILLIS WAYNE, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2005,
at Garden Terrace of Overland Park, Kansas. Mr. Lake was a resident
of Birmingham, AL, for 22 years before moving to the Kansas City area
in 1997.  Before his retirement, Mr. Lake was an executive with Vulcan
Materials Company, Birmingham, AL. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World
War II.  Survivors include his wife, Marjorie L. Lake; daughters, Ruth
Lake of Milan, Italy, Jean Lake-Brown and husband Joe of Douglas, KS,
and Katy Nestor and husband Mike of Clearwater, KS; sons, Dr. James
Lake of Pacific Grove, CA, and David Lake of Westlake Village, CA;
stepdaughter, Amy Shortall and husband John of Overland Park, KS;
stepsons, Michael Bullock and Jeffrey Bullock, both of Lenexa, KS;
sisters, Roberta Griffith of Westbrook, CT, Elaine Kincaid and husband
Gene of Winchester, KY, and Dr. Barbara Lake of Worthington, OH; as well
as twelve grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all. A memorial
service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2005, at The United
Methodist Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood, KS. The
