Sioux City Journal; Sioux City IA; 2000-6-14 Wilma Viola Juzek, 93, of Sioux City died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at her residence following a lengthy illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Peter Boe of Christ Lutheran Church in Grant Township, Iowa, officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Merrill, Iowa. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Mike Inman chaplain of Hospice of Siouxland officiating, all at the funeral home. Mrs. Juzek was born Nov. 19, 1906, in Merrill, the daughter of Grant and Mabel (Phillips) Lake. She married Charles Juzek on Jan. 29, 1929, in Elk Point, S.D. The couple farmed near Merrill for many years. He husband died Dec. 23, 1978, in Akron, Iowa. She had been a resident of Sioux City for 16 years. She was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed playing canasta, gardening and flowers. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Robert and Rose Williams and Marvin and Darlene Juzek, all of Merrill; a daughter and her husband, Donna and Leonard Plueger of Le Mars, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Freida Lake of Le Mars; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Mearl Lake; a grandson, Gary Grant Plueger; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tim Juzek, Daniel, David and Dean Plueger and Donald and John Williams.
