BRANDENTON -- Mr. Wilson C. Lake of Bradenton,
a former resident of Lakeland, died Friday (Nov. 20,
1998) at Manatee Health and Rehab Center. He was
89.

Born in Hurricane, W.Va., on June 2, 1909, he moved
to Bradenton in 1954. He was the owner of Lake Ford
in Hurricane. He was a member of Mount Enon Baptist
Church of Lakeland.

He is survived by his son, Glen Wilson Lake, Winter
Haven; daughters, Ruth DeSantis, Sarasota, Doris
Herndon, Key West; sister, Anna Mae Ashworth,
Hurricane, W.Va.; four grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 this afternoon at
Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 2198 K-ville Ave., S.R.
542, Auburndale. Services will follow at the funeral
home.
