John Robbin, [sic] well known in this community, died at his home at Scranton, Pa., last Friday after suffering the past many years with the dreaded disease of cancer on his cheek. He was 68 years of age and when he lived at this place he followed his trade as a carpenter. The funeral services took place at Buttsville M. E. Church on Monday afternoon. Interment in the cemetery adjoining. unquote From the Belvidere Apollo, Belvidere, New Jersey dated December 11, 1896: quote ...Isabella Robbins and Chattle Throckmorton, two spinsters who lived together in the same house at Loyalton, near Long Branch, for sixty five years, were separated by death on Sunday. Miss Robbins, who died, was 93 years old last June. Miss Throckmorton has just passed her ninetieth birthday, and is still hale and hearty. unquote From the Belvidere Apollo, Belvidere, New Jersey dated December 16, 1898: quote The remains of William Robbins of Binghamton were brought here for interment last Friday.
