It seems as if all three of the kits match a specific haplogroup, which is now at R-Y34195. There's novel variants that seem to differentiate these kits, though. I'm hoping to use the variants omeday with further research to know which branch of the family these variants come from... but that will have to wait. Through traditional genealogy, the three kits seem to come from three different sons of Daniel Robins. Aaron Robbins, which seems to be through the PA branch so far, Daniel Robins, which is the branch I am on, and Joseph Robins, who seems to be the ancestor of the North Carolina Robins bunch, genealogically. The 4th kit is showing as being descended from a Vincent Robbins, Mercer County PA. Nothing in Ancestry for this guy, anywhere. So, that's as far as I've gotten with the DNA and attempting to figure out how that all fits in with what is known by genealogists out there. I'd be really curious to see who those descendants are! I tried to follow the Vincent of Mercer some time ago but I lost him after 1805 when he sold his Mercer Co. property. Here are all of my notes about him: 1800 Neshanock, Alleghany Co. Or do you not have one at all and are just doing genealogy? Do you mind if I forward all of that to the person that has the DNA on the site? Maybe there's a tree. I don't know that my Robbins (Daniel Robbins b about 1730-1740 of Oxford twp Sussex County NJ) is closely related to any Vincent. I was just trying to sort them out! Please do share the info. I'd love to know how the participant knows he descends from that specific Robbins! Let me know if you find out anything! Posted by: richard.robbins13@yahoo.com richard.robbins13 Date: Sun Feb 18, 2018 11:33 am ((PST)) I don't know if you are aware that my Daniel b 1736 d 1802 is from Sussex. I think a LONG time ago we may have had a convo about it. Maybe a different email as well. My Daniel is the one married to Sarah Blatchley, and he is the son of Joshua Robbins b. between 1698-1716. Yours is the father of Stephen, Daniel, Abigail and Isaac. Right? And your Daniel was the son of John Robbins b. 1695 and wife Eleanor. I believe your John b. 1695 and my Joshua were brothers; both sons of Daniel Robbins b. 1666. Anne, and died in Sussex Co. in 1802. Perhaps someone can confirm that? I don't know what the "proof" is. Father of Daniel 1802 is John, per Sara. Tracey, sounds like the same guy.
