Subject: [lake-surname] Anderson and Leake family links in Virginia

Hi there fellow researchers,

This is really a long shot but in this game, you gotta do it.

I'm researching my Anderson family in Virginia.  I've run into a
roadblock and cannot get any further with either spouse.  Family lore
says that there is a link to the Leake family which I understand is
actually Lake family.  So here is my Anderson line:

Thomas Jefferson Anderson b. ca. 1809  Buckingham Co., Va.
  Married Sarah Jane Thomas b. ca. 1816 Albemarle Co.; they married
June 19, 1833 in Nelson Co., Va.

Children:

Mary Elizabeth Anderson b. ca. 1835 never married

William James Anderson b. ca. 1837, died  ca. 1880; married Doratha
Damron Jan. 22, 1866 Nelson Co.

Sarah Jane Anderson b. Feb. 4, 1839, died Dec. 27, 1904; Married John
J. Witt Jan. 14, 1862.

Susan Frances Anderson b. 1842 died Dec. 1, 1871, Nelson co., never
married.

Nancy F. Anderson b. ca. 1844, married Addison Burton Nov. 4, 1874,
Nelson Co., Va.

Robert Thomas Anderson b. Sept. 20, 1847; died Oct. 15, 1916; Married
Lois M. Damron Dec. 20, 1870, Nelson Co.

Samuel Leake Anderson b. July 20, 1850; died July 22, 1932, Married
Susan Josephine Carter Dec. 13, 1879, Nelson Co.

Anybody know of any Leake connection to this family?
