Dorothy Beverly Bloom Lake
Dorothy Beverly Bloom Lake, 76, died at Sentara Potomac Hospital, Woodbridge, VA on 1 Dec 2011. She had a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Waynesboro, PA on 6 Aug 1935 the daughter of the late John F. Bloom and Margaret Grace Woodring Bloom. She spent her early life at Blue Ridge Summit, PA. She graduated from Washington Twp. High School, class of 1953. She married Donald E. Lake 18 Sept. 1956 in Portsmouth, N.H. She traveled with him during his twenty years of service with the US Marine Corps. She and the children returned to the Waynesboro area when her husband served overseas assignments.

She is survived by her husband, daughter Kimberly Sue Hollaway and husband Dean of Richmond, a grandson Justin D. Lake of Virginia Beach, Virginia; daughter-in-law Teresa Lake; step-grandchildren Kristin, Jason, Sabrina, Brianna, and step great grandchild, Nicholas. A son, Timothy Michael Lake died of cancer on 29 Jan. 2011.She is survived by a sister Louise of Eugene, Oregon; brother Richard of Blue Ridge Summit; James of Quincy Retirement Village; Clarence of Florida. Proceeded in death by Sisters Ethel, Alma, Myrtle, Gladys and brothers George, Cliff, and John.

A memorial service will be held on a date to be announced. Interment will be by cremation at the Veterans Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
