[22] Mary Debow daughter of Solomon Debow and Hannah [2] [24] [27] Thompson. [2] [27] Solomon Debow son of Frederick Debow and Johanna Van Hook. [14] Extras - Additional info. [21] Frederick Debow and Johanna Van Hook are likely the same couple as M. Frederick De Boogh and Johanna VanHook (parents of spouse of 55.26). [5] Explanations - Citation #15 states (for the Abingdon Presbytery in 1798) "Rev. Jacob Lake, late of Orange." I believe that's good evidence that the Rev Jacob Lake who served in Orange County, North Carolina is the same person who served in Tennessee. [5] Questions - Citation #2 and Citation #3 say Jacob Lake died 18 Aug 1818 in Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee. [5] Citation #4 says Mary Debow born 1754. [5] Citation #10 says Mary Debow born in Caswell, North Carolina. [5] Citation #10 says child #1, Lucy, born 1780 in North Carolina. [5] Citation #10 says child #4, Jenny, born in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. [5] Citation #10 says child #5, Polly, born in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. [5] Citation #3 refers to Mary Debow as Mary DeBow. [5] Citation #11 says Mary Debow died 16 Jan 1827 in Hillsboro, Caswell County, North Carolina. [5] Citation #16 says that Jacob Lake reinstated from a suspension 1798. [5] Citation #23 indicates Solomon Debow died 25 Mar 1783, but perhaps the Solomon Debow in Citation #23 is the son of Solomon Debow. [5] Perhaps Jacob Lake is Jacob L. Lake. [5] Citation #26 says Jacob Lake born 1744. [5] I suspect "Joseph Lake" named in Citation #21 is an error in transcription and should be "Jacob Lake". [5] Citation #27 says Jacob Lake and Mary Debow married 1769. [5] Citation #27 says Mary Debow died 1794, but if child #7, Allen Debow, born 1795 is correct then Mary probably did not die in 1794. [5] Hanah Lake named in Timeline event dated May 1790 likely 109.0, child vi. [5] Citations - 1. Reference->Misc->HunterdonCoLakes.txt 2. [1] Questions - Citation #28 believes a different Thomas Lake died in 1787. [4] Citation #3 refers to Eleanor ------ as both Eleanor and Elender. [4] Citation #3 and Citation #14 refer to child #2, Eleanor, as both Eleanor and Elender. [4] Citation #10 says Thomas Lake born 1707. [4] Citation #11 says Thomas Lake born c1722 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. [4] Citation #35 says Thomas Lake born in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. [4] Citation #28 says Thomas Lake born c1726. [4] Citation #11 and Citation #35 say Thomas Lake died 25 Apr 1787. [4] Citation #34 says Thomas Lake died 25 Apr 1787 in Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. [4] Citation #11 says Eleanor ------ died 1789. [4] Citation #34 says Eleanor ------ died 1 Jun 1789 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey (date very doubtful). [4] Citation #34 says Eleanor ------ born 1 Jun 1692 (very doubtful). [4] Citation #14 says will of Thomas Lake made 25 Apr 1787. [4] Citation #28 says will of Thomas Lake proved 25 Apr 1787. [4] Citation #34 says child #2, Eleanor, born 1742. [4] Citation #34 says child #4, Joseph, born 1748. [4] Citation #34 says child #5, Hannah, died 16 May 1827. [4] Citation #40 says Thomas Lake married Sarah Newton (daughter of Joseph Newton) 21 Sep 1749 in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. [4] I believe Citation #29 is referring to this Thomas Lake, in spite of the record saying he is of Kingwood Township. The word "Sinyer" in the record insinuates older, and Thomas is older than John Lake named in the record (111.15, child iii). Perhaps Thomas Lake lived very close to the line between Bethlehem Township and Kingwood Township. It's also possible that Thomas Lake could be 111.15, child iv, but that Thomas is likely younger than John Lake (his brother) and I suspect Thomas Lake (111.15, child iv) was living in Loudoun County, Virginia by the time of Citation #29 (see 111.15). [4] Citation #22 says Thomas Lake signed a document concerning Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Pittstown, New Jersey Mar 1788 but this Thomas Lake died 1787; perhaps that's an indication that the Thomas Lake named in Citation #22 in 1769 and/or 1772 is not this Thomas Lake, or perhaps Thomas Lake named in 1772 is actually Thomas Low as indicated in Citation #22.
